World domination ?

Green Volkswagen Polos. There are thousands of them, just have a look next time you’re out and about. When you make eye contact with their drivers you get one of those have-you-sussed-us looks. They are taking over the world. Mark my words.

On her ship, tied to the mast.

There’s something deeply disturbing about Gordon Brown’s smile. Don’t do it again Gordon, dour suits you.

RIP

I’ve just found out that one of my favourite bloggers has died. Greg at Death’s door has consistently made me laugh, made me question the things I believe in and generally made me think for a good few years now.

Rest in peace my friend. You will be sadly missed.

Hard rain gonna fall.

Every time someone on the TV rants about global warming or climate change they all want me to do something about it. The government wants us to save energy, recycle, use the car less, use dim light bulbs and a load more things that tend to make you feel less than clean. Yesterday the Liberal Democrats were on pontificating about how we can do more. If they came out and told us the truth I would respect them a little more. What they really mean is “I want the general public to feel guilty about global warming so they do all the dirty work and I don’t have to anger big business with green taxes, thereby staying in power/getting in office at the next election”. I’ve seen first hand the amount of wasted energy in British business, the sheer volume of wasted resources. Lets look at tiny steps forward for the big polluters of the world like the US and China, then we can move onto industry in general. Then and only then, should we ask people to make sacrifices in the way they live their lives.

Sooner or later people will get wise to this con, and by the time we realise that recycling and riding a bike to work is nowhere near enough, it will be too late.

A new era.

I have finally dragged myself away from blogger and got my own place. Don’t get me wrong, blogger looked after my thoughts for well over 5 years, they took good care of them and never charged me a penny for the privilege. It’s time to move on though, and maybe try and move on from the btl tag.

I’m also hoping the new place will inspire me to post more often, but don’t hold your breath.
